You have almost certainly looked online at all the dozens and dozens of weight loss tips and fitness tips and it’s easy to become confused…very quickly!

Do you concentrate on a diet? Do you need to do lots of exercise in order to lose weight fast? Well the truth is, you should do a combination of both. Weight loss needs to be a lifestyle change and not a 4 week fad diet. You need to change your eating habits and do more exercise permanently. That is the only way you’ll be able to lose weight and more importantly, keep it off for good.

So here are some fitness tips to lose weight:

#1 – Cardio Workouts

Cardio workouts as the real fat burners of any workout routine. They get the body working hard and burning lots of calories, which means you’ll start burning fat. Try and do 3 cardio workout a week for 20-30 minutes each time.

#2 – Weight Training

Lifting weights helps to build muscle and believe it or not, muscle burns lots of calories too. So the more muscle you have, the more calories your body will naturally burn. 2-3 weight training workouts a week will ensure you are burning more calories.

#3 – Rest Days

If you train every single day, you’ll just end up burning your body out and have no energy left. But by having 2 rest days a week, it gives your body time to recoup and repair your muscles after training.

These are just a few fitness tips to lose weight that you can apply immediately. There are of course lots more but if you stick to the basics and increase your cardio and weight training workout, eat healthy foods and give yourself 2 days off each week, you’ll find that the weight will start to come off and you won’t be left starving or burned out.
